Week 8 Preview

Three teams now sit atop the standings at 5-2 in the Predators, The Spoiler, and the Cougars. This week each team has their hands full with teams starting to make noise in either division. The Predators played well despite being shorthanded in a Week 7 loss to the Gauchos. They're up against The Megatons who are riding a 3-game winning streak and showing no signs of slowing down. This is always an epic battle between two championship caliber teams and thus, an easy pick for our GAME of the WEEK.

The Spoiler look to regain their footing after dropping two in a row to the Predators and Cougars this weekend as they battle the Houston Fuzz. This is a pivotal moment in the season at the midway point for the Fuzz to take a stand. With Matt Schaub and Carson Palmer in the line-up for the remainder of the season (barring any unforeseen injuries) this is going to be the weekend to make the move.

Lastly, the Cougars have finally caught up with the Predators and The Spoiler; their counterparts from the Original Division. With The Megatons chasing the Cougars up the standings with three straight wins, this team can't afford to take any chances. However, the Cougars face an old foe, the Gauchos, now 3-4, in Week 8.

The other two games this weekend are also inter-division battles featuring the Backdoor Bandits (4-3) against the Parking Thugs (2-5), and the Allie-Gators (2-5) take on the last week's $10 prize-winning Delta Marauders (3-4).

It's an inter-division weekend with the Original Division holding down a 9-6 advantage through 15 games so far over the Extra Crispy Division.

GAME  of the WEEK

PREDATORS
(5-2, ORIGINAL DIVISION)
vs
THE MEGATONS
(4-3, EXTRA CRISPY DIVISION)

ANDRE JOHNSON
782 receiving yards & 3 TDs in 13 career games vs Colts

With Peyton Manning, Arian Foster, and Andre Johnson going Monday night, the Predators have to hope they're within reach on Sunday night after the Saints play the Steelers. That will be The Megatons last shot at padding the score with Drew Brees going. We've seen what can happen with Manning and Foster in the line-up (5-1) and without (0-1) so the Predators have a chance to continue their lead atop the Original Division with a win in Week 8.

DREW BREES
31-of-47, 398 yards, 1 PaTD in 2006 vs Steelers

The Megatons are enjoying a 3-game winning streak and now they have a serious test of strength going up against the Predators. The loss of QB Matt Ryan to the bye week could create some problems, but Shaun Hill has filled in nicely for Matthew Stafford in Detroit with 61% accuracy throwing the ball for over 1,300 yards and 9 TDs. He's a bit banged up put did participate in practice on Friday.

Otherwise, The Megatons have a couple of solid RBs to throw at you with Knowshon Moreno and Steven Jackson. Miles Austin, Dwayne Bowe, and Hines Ward can cause problems receiving the ball. The Megatons have to hope they've done enough damage on Sunday to withstand the hurricane of points coming the Predators way on Monday night in order to win this game and improve to 5-3.

THE SPOILER
(5-2, ORIGINAL DIVISION)
vs
HOUSTON FUZZ
(2-5, EXTRA CRISPY DIVISION)

RASHARD MENDENHALL
Facing 17th-ranked Saints run defense.

The Spoiler look to Rashard Mendenhall to restore some order with their two-game slump. Mendenhall, much like The Spoiler, was in a bit of slump himself rushing for just 37 yards last weekend. He gets the prime time treatement in the Big Easy this weekend and hopes to regain his footing. LT and Beanie Wells may join him in trying to take down the Fuzz.

Kyle Orton and Aaron Rodgers have been all that The Spoiler or anyone could have expected so far. Orton is in England battling the Niners and trying to repair the damage of a massacre last weekend at home against Oakland. Rodgers escaped with a win over Minnesota last Sunday night and must face a stiff test on the road against the Mean Green.

MARQUES COLSTON
Facing 24th-ranked Steelers pass defense.

The Houston Fuzz can climb right back into this thing by handing The Spoiler their third straight loss in Week 8. Led by Marques Colston at WR, the Fuzz hope to enjoy a big night out of the receiver against Pittsburgh's soft pass defense.

Matt Schaub and Carson Palmer are solid at QB. Marion Barber and Ronnie Brown need to get their feet moving rushing the ball. The Spoiler are down and now it's up to the Fuzz to get in their and deliver the knockout blow. Whether or not they can do it remains to be seen.
COUGARS
(5-2, EXTRA CRISPY DIVISION)
vs
GAUCHOS
(3-4, ORIGINAL DIVISION)

ADRIAN PETERSON
New England yet to allow a 100-yards rushing to a single back this season.

The Cougars have been practically unstoppable this season. They lead their division and are tied for the league's best record at 5-2. This week they battle the Gauchos and the only missing weapon, it appears, is Eli Manning. Last week the Gauchos faced another Manning-less team in the Predators and walked away with the victory. Will lightning strike twice this week?

Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson might have something to say about that. However, Gore's been struggling and Peterson goes up against a stingy run defense in New England.

It may be up to the other monster in the Cougars line-up, the wide receivers: Percy Harvin, Chad Ochocinco, and Calvin Johnson. Throw Antonio Gates in there for good measure.

Yep, this team is strong all the way up and down the line-up. The Gauchos will be tested thoroughly.

JAMAAL CHARLES
#1 in yards per carry (6 yards)

The Gauchos were able to put together a victory over the Predators in Week 7 and now prepare to face another one of the league's top teams, the Cougars. A win this weekend could prove to give the Gauchos a shot at being taken seriously as a contender this season.

Jamaal Charles brings his top-ranked rushing ability to the Buffalo Bills defense in Kansas City this weekend to lead the Gauchos attack. Matt Hasselbeck and Chad Henne hope to strong arm their competition in two road games this weekend at Oakland and Cincinnati.

The receiving corps is where the Gauchos are hoping to roll the dice with the "big catch" instead of snake eyes. Jacoby Jones (acquired via trade with the Predators) goes Monday night. Devery Henderson goes Sunday night. And of course Randy Moss will play in his return to New England. So the Gauchos are hoping that one, if not all, receivers makes that big catch to put their team over the Cougars in Week 8.
BACKDOOR BANDITS
(4-3, ORIGINAL DIVISION)
vs
PARKING THUGS
(2-5, EXTRA CRISPY DIVISION)

DARREN McFADDEN
Four TDs in Week 7.

You want to talk about a team that's for real? The Backdoor Bandits are now 4-3 and on the move. They will play a very inconsistent Parking Thugs team in Week 8 and have a good shot at either finishing the weekend tied for the lead, or taking a stumble back to .500.

Darren McFadden appears to be in the line-up this weekend along with Kenny Britt. Both players combined for 103-points last weekend on the bench for the Bandits. If they can recapture some of that magic, it could be curtains quickly for the Thugs.

Matt Cassel and Donovan McNabb go up against Buffalo and Detroit in Week 8. The Bandits need this one badly!

BenJarvus GREEN-ELLIS
Rushing TD in 4 straight games.

The Parking Thugs are on a slippery slope to Nowheresville at this rate. The sometimes-up / mostly down season fell flat last weekend with their second straight poor performance. This weekend, the Thugs want to bring it when they face the Backdoor Bandits and make the second half of their season as meaningful as possible.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis appears to be a scoring-machine with 4 TDs in his past four games for New England. Thomas Jones may be a consideration for LeSean McCoy who is on a bye week.

Larry Fitzgerald  and Zach Miller lead the receiving attack, but the line-up, otherwise, is in need of attention with bye weeks looming for Steve Smith and the Eagles DST as well.

The Thugs need to pick up the pieces quickly or pay the price.
ALLIE-GATORS
(2-5, ORIGINAL DIVISION)
vs
DELTA MARAUDERS
(3-4, EXTRA CRISPY DIVISION)

MAURICE JONES-DREW
98 ypg avg vs NFC teams

The Allie-Gators take on the Delta Marauders in a game that puts this team at a crossroads. Win and improve to 3-5 with a decent shot at working towards a playoff spot. Drop this one and you're staring at 2-6 with nowhere to go.

So, Maurice Jones-Drew will hope to lead the troops to victory when he hits the field at Cowboy Stadium. He's done well against the NFC averaging 98 yards per game. The Steelers DST hopes to make an impact in New Orleans on Sunday night, though they've struggled with the pass and now have to face Drew Brees.

Wes Welker and Greg Jennings have been spectacular at WR and this weekend go up against Minnesota and the N.Y. Jets.

This one's big for the Gators as they face last week's $10 prize winner, the Delta Marauders.

LeGARRETTE BLOUNT
66 rushing yards in the second half last weekend.

The Delta Marauders are enjoying a 206-point weekend and now prepare to face the Allie-Gators. This weekend's game could propel the Marauders into immediate contention in the Extra Crispy Division at 4-4.

Tom Brady and "Big" Ben Roethlisberger are outstanding at QB. The early draft of Roethlisberger caused a stir amongst BCFFL owners, but the work Ben's done over the past few weeks has made the move seem pretty smart in retrospect.

LeGarrette Blount may be ready to emerge as a top back with Cadillac in the 4-2 Tampa Bay Bucs offense. He rushed for 66-yards in the second half last weekend and the Cardinals are hosting the Bucs this weekend.

Dez Bryant and Mike Wallace are the team's leading receivers. The Marauders are ready to roll in this game as they take on the Allie-Gators.

Good luck, everyone!

And most importantly, let's go Giants!

WEEK 7 REPORT

GAUCHOS ENJOY PREDATORS BYE WEEK!

ANQUAN BOLDIN
92 rec yards, ReTD (34)

The Gauchos were ever the opportunist in Week 7, taking advantage of a weakened Predators line-up sans Peyton Manning and Arian Foster. Anquan Boldin stepped up with a 92-yard  outing and a TD. Randy Moss (13) literally saved the day catching a TD pass right after Visanthe Shiancoe was robbed on what might have been the game-saving catch and Week 7 victory for the Predators. It wasn't to be though. Matt Hasselbeck (16) and Kevin Kolb (14) combined for 30-points. That was about it for 99-points and a Gaucho victory over the division-leading Predators. The Gauchos left the Original Division basement open for the Allie-Gators, who fell hard to the Backdoor Bandits, 122-93.

PHILIP RIVERS
336 passing yards, PaTD (4)

So without Manning and Foster, what did the Predators look like in Week 7? Philip Rivers came through with 20-points. Ahmad Bradshaw was the last hope on Monday night after Shiancoe's TD was reversed and Bradshaw racked up 126 rushing yards for 13-points, but no TDs in New York's 41-35 victory over Dallas.
The receiving corps of Branch (3) and Marshall (5) were awful.

Bills WR Steve Johnson could have made a big difference with his 25-points on the bench. He finished the day with 158 receiving yards and a 33-yard TD pass against Baltimore.

BACKDOOR BANDITS GAIN MOMENTUM!
122-93 WIN OVER AGS

MICHAEL TURNER
121 rushing yards, 2 RuTD (2, 3)

Michael Turner led the Backdoor Bandits to a huge win over their division rivals, the Allie-Gators, 122-93, in Week 7. Turner scored twice and rushed for 121 yards. Matt Cassel was sharp with 193 passing yards and 2 TDs (53, 6). The Titans DST contributed 19 PA, DTD (41), 2 Int, 2 DFR, and a sack for 13-points. Santana Moss left 16-points in the Bandits favor. And Donovan McNabb was good for 12 on 200 passing yards and a TD (24) in Week 7.

One monster miss was the extreme bar-fighter, himself, Kenny Britt, who entered the weekend the subject of a late-night altercation at a local watering hole. How did he respond to all the press? Oh, just a 62-point day on 225 receiving yards, 3 TDs (26, 80, 16) all while on the bench. Luckily, it was not needed.

But then there was also the 61-points the Bandits left on the bench as Darren McFadden rushed for 165 yards and scored 4 TDs: three rushing (4, 4, 57) and one receiving (19). When's the last time a team left two players on the bench that scored more than 60-points in a single week? The Elias Sports Bureau is all over this one. Wonder if these two guys will ride the wood again in Week 8?

MAURICE JONES-DREW
47 rushing yards, 74 receiving yards, ReTD (18)

The Gators once again watched as Ryan Fitzpatrick and Lee Evans (actually on their team) had all-pro weekends for a combined 81-points. These two bench players connected 3 times for TDs (33, 20, 17), and Fitzpatrick went on for 382 passing yards, 20 rushing yards, and 4 TDs total. That's a total of 204-points on the bench between 4 players in this match-up. Wow!

MJD led the way for the Gators with 21-points. David Akers hit four FGs (25, 46, 46, 28) and an XP for 13-points. Greg Jennings caught a 14-yard TD on Sunday night at Lambeau for 17-points.

It simply wasn't enough is what turned out to be a very unusual game with MANY unclaimed points.

GAME of the WEEK #2
COUGARS ROLL, 136-98 OVER SPOILER

ELI MANNING
33-points

The Extra Crispy Division narrowed the inter-division record to 9-6 in favor of the Original Division. Eli Manning turned up the heat on Dallas, forcing their fans to don brown bag masks at the end of this game with 4 TDs (7, 8, 14, 25).

Adrian Peterson rushed for 131 yards and a TD for 25-points in Green Bay. Chad Ochocinco had 108 receiving yards and a TD (8) for 20-points. Frank Gore had 15-points on 102 yards rushing and 57 receiving yards.

The Cougars remain in the driver's seat, a game in front of The Megatons (5-2 to 4-3) in the ECD.

AARON RODGERS
23-points

The Spoiler are now on a 2-game losing streak, falling to the Predators and Cougars in successive weeks. Aaron Rodgers remains the team leader with 23-points in Week 7 on 295 passing yards and 2 TDs (9, 14).

Kyle Orton passed for 198 yards and 2 TDs (7, 27) for 21-points in a humiliating home defeat to Oakland.

Terrell Owens matched Chad Ochochinco's 20-points with 18 of his own on 88 receiving yards and a TD (19).

Kerry Collins was left on The Spoiler's bench with 276 passing yards and 3 TDs for 33-points. Hakeem Nicks was benched in Dallas for the NYG and wound up with 2 TDs (7, 8) and 108 receiving yards.

The Spoiler will hope to snap their two-game skid in Week 8.

DELTA MARAUDERS WIN $10 PRIZE!
DROP 206-POINTS ON THUGS

RODDY WHITE
42-points

So this is what the Delta Marauders are capable of! Roddy White caught 2 TDs (43, 11) on 201 yards for 4-points in victory over the Parking Thugs. "Big" Ben Roethlisberger passed for 302 yards and 2 TDs (21, 53) for 33-points. Dez Bryant caught 2 TDs (15, 15) on returned a punt 93-yards for a TD on his way to a 41-point night. Mike Wallace caught a 53-yard TD for 25-points. Vernon Davis caught a TD and contributed 17-points to add to the 206-point total for the Marauders in Week 7.

STEVE SMITH
20-points

The Parking Thugs did not rebound as they have every other week. Instead, this week they maintained their poor production point-wise and got pounded, 206-95 to the Delta Marauders. Receiver Steve Smith was the lone bright spot with 101 receiving yards and a 14-yard receiving TD for 20-points. Zach Miller (16) caught a 43-yard TD for Oakland. Brett Favre (10) and Tony Romo (7, before breaking his collar bone) combined for 17-points.

The Thugs did have Todd Heap (25), Thomas Jones (20), Brandon Jackson (17), and Josh Freeman (20) on the bench in Week 7. It most likely wouldn't have been enough to crack 200, but some line-up changes may be in order for Week 8.

MEGATONS KEEP ON WINNING!
184-128 OVER THE FUZZ

DWAYNE BOWE
2 TDs (53, 6); 38-points

The Megatons have started winning ballgames and appear to be right back in a familiar spot, just a game shy of the Extra Crispy Division lead. Dwayne Bowe continues to look like a Pro Bowler with Kansas City. He caught 2 TDs for 38-points in Week 7 as Kansas City defeated Jacksonville.

Matt Ryan (32) and Drew Brees (21) combined for 53-points. Hines Ward made himself welcome on the roster with a TD (21) and 131 receiving  yards for 23-points. Rob Bironas kicked his way to 13-points on 3 FGs (41, 38, 33). The Packers DST was strong with 24 PA, DTD (32), 3 Int, and a sack for 12-points. And Knowshon Moreno starred for Denver in a big loss to Oakland with 90 all-purpose yards and 2 receiving TDs (7, 27).

CARSON PALMER
44-points

The Houston Fuzz fell to The Megatons, but they got a great outing from Carson Palmer on the way to defeat, 184-128. Palmer passed for 412 yards and 3 TDs (19, 64, 8) for 44-points. Joe Flacco (30) once again filled in admirably for Matt Schaub, out on the bye week. Marques Colston caught a TD (8) on 1123 yards for 21-points. Jason Witten also had 21-points on 95 receiving yards and a TD (4). Stephen Gostkowski kicked 3 FGs (40, 35, 35) and 2 XP for 11-points. It simply wasn't enough for the Fuzz, who now hope to climb back into contention in the ECD.

Congratulations to all Week 7 winners, and best of luck to everyone in Week 8!

And GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GIANTS!

Week 7 Preview

You may take a look at the Predators match-up this week and think, they appear vulnerable without Peyton Manning and Arian Foster in the line-up. You might be right. But consider this, even without Manning (33) and Foster (25) in Week 6, the Predators would have still defeated the then-undefeated Spoiler, 112-110. So despite their one loss, and without Manning or Foster this weekend, it will be interesting to see how the Predators respond. That brings us to our GAME of the WEEK as the Predators face the Gauchos, hoping to regain their footing after being swept by the Allie-Gators, but staring into the mouth of the beast in Week 7.

GAME of the WEEK

PREDATORS
(5-1, ORIGINAL DIVISION)
VS
GAUCHOS
(2-4, ORIGINAL DIVISION)

PHILIP RIVERS
NFL best - 9.1 yards per completion

Philip Rivers leads the Predators into action without Peyton Manning by his side. Rivers leads the NFL with 35 compltions of 20-plus yards in addition to a league best 9.1 yards per completion. He has a home date with rival New England. The Chargers are hungry for a big victory and Rivers has plenty of weapons to choose from, including Malcolm Floyd, who had over 200 yards receiving a few weeks back in Oakland.

Ryan Torain is coming off a 100-yard rushing week. Marshawn Lynch, Ahmad Bradshaw and Ryan Torain round out the rushing. Brandon Marshall and newcomer Deion Branch led the receiving corps.

Lastly, the Bears DST, coming off a 16-point effort in Week 6, have the Redskins on Soldier Field.

RAY RICE
Bills have allowed RBs 23.2 points per week

The Gauchos look to #1 draft pick Ray Rice to pick them up this week as this team hopes to climb back into contention over a very formidable foe. He appears to be ready to go after a full day of practice late this week.

Kevin Kolb made a splash in his Gauchos debut hanging 38-points on Atlanta. Coach Reid is going with Kolb again this weekend when Philadelphia takes on Tennessee in Nashville. Matt Hasseslbeck gets the nod as QB #2 this weekend as the resurgent Seahawks face division-rival Arizona at home.

Will the Ravens DST finally come up with major points? If a home date with Buffalo doesn't get the job done, what will?

Anquan Boldin and Randy Moss spearhead the receiving efforts, while Jonathan Stewart and Jamaal Charles join forces with the aforementioned Rice as the team rushing squad.

This one is shaping up to be quite a battle.

BACKDOOR BANDITS
(3-3, ORIGINAL DIVISION)
VS
ALLIE-GATORS
(2-4, ORIGINAL DIVISION)

CHRIS JOHNSON
7 TDs in 7 games

The Bandits are on the move and this could signal big problems for the rest of the league. They're the only team with a victory over the Predators and owners of the #1 pick in the draft, Chris Johnson. CJ28 has 7 TDs in his past 7 games and faces an Eagles defense that ranks 22nd in the league against the run.

Matt Cassel and Donovan McNabb square off with Jacksonville at home and Tennessee on the road. Michael Turner faces a banged up Bengals defense. And Rookie of the Year candidate, Mike Williams, has three TDs catches and 283 receiving yards.

GREG JENNINGS
119 yards and a TD in Week 6

Greg Jennings leads the Allie-Gators against their division rivals, the Backdoor Bandits, in Week 7. Jennings had a monster game in defeat to Miami last weekend. This week the Packers will Minnesota on Sunday night at Lambeau. With Moss on the other side, this has all the makings of a dramatic battle as it's the first game for Moss in a Vikings uniform on the field where he "mooned" the Cheeseheads in the playoffs.

Jermaine Gresham is back in action this week against a banged up Falcons defense after catching a TD last weekend. And the ever-impressive Wes Welker will be in action in San Diego tomorrow.

Either the Gators will join the Bandits at 3-4, or the Bandits will continue to surge towards the top of the Original Division at 4-3 after this battle.

INTER-DIVISION BATTLE
GAME of the WEEK #2

ORIGINAL DIVISION
LEADS
EXTRA CRISPY DIVISION:
9-5

COUGARS
(4-2, EXTRA CRISPY DIVISION)
VS
THE SPOILER
(5-1, ORIGINAL DIVISION)

ELI MANNING
220 avg passing yards vs Dallas

In our other GAME of the WEEK it will be the 4-2 Cougars, leaders of the Extra Crispy Division, going up against The Spoiler, with a league best 5-1 record and co-leaders of the Original Division.

The Cougars pounded the Fuzz in Week 6 and look for more as they try to represent the ECD, down 9-5 in inter-division match-ups this season. Eli Manning has a Monday night date in Dallas where he has done quite well throughout his career. His counterpart, Mark Sanchez, is off this week.

Chad Ochocinco, Donald Driver, Percy Harvin, Tony Moeaki, and Jabar Gaffney provide a smorgasbord of receiving options for the Cougars. And the 1-2 punch of Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson should be plenty at RB.

AARON RODGERS
Looks to extend TD streak

The Spoiler were embarrassed last weekend, 170-110, to their division rivals, the Predators. This weekend it doesn't get any easier as they face the Cougars.

Aaron Rodgers has been stellar in 2010 so far and looks to extend his TD streak this weekend as the Packers face the Vikings at home on Sunday night.

Kyle Orton, the league's leading passer as of late, will face Oakland at Invesco Field. Brandon Lloyd and TO will hold down the receiving duties, while Rashard Mendenhall and Beanie Wells carry the rock.

The Spoiler would like to return to their winning ways and improve to 6-1 with a big win over the Cougars.

PARKING THUGS
(2-4, EXTRA CRISPY DIVISION)
VS
DELTA MARAUDERS
(2-4, EXTRA CRISPY DIVISION)

LARRY FITZGERALD
86 ypg avg vs Seattle; 9 TDs

Larry Fitzgerald has always had success against the Seahawks. He gets another crack at the Seattle defense this weekend as the Cardinals have a division foe on the schedule. The Thugs hope to bring their "A" team against the Delta Marauders because this would be an A-team week. The on-again, off-again point production for this team has been frustrating, to say the least.

Brett Favre and Tony Romo get prime time action which should certainly help the Thugs chances. Steve Smith and Zach Miller have been proficient receiving the ball. LeSean McCoy has been outstanding at RB in Philly and DeAngelo Williams squares off with the SF defense at home in search of the Panthers first victory.

MATT FORTE
271 receiving yards

Talk about a secret weapon. Not only is Forte a number one RB option, he also has 271 receiving yards. He'll be at home with Washington. Roddy White and Mike Wallace lead the receiving efforts for the Marauders with games against Cincinnati and Miami. Vernon Davis should get in good work against an 0-5 Carolina defense.

The Marauders mainly hope to get over on the Thugs and check in as a contender in the Extra Crispy Division. This team wants to prove that it's for real. With the likes of Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger throwing the ball now for the DMs, this could be the week they make it happen.

THE MEGATONS
(3-3, EXTRA CRISPY DIVISION)
VS
HOUSTON FUZZ
(2-4, EXTRA CRISPY DIVISION)

STEVEN JACKSON
32 yards needed for most rushing yards in Rams history

They're baaaaaaaaaaaack. The Megatons have climbed out of their 0-3 start to 3-3 and are making headway into the Extra Crispy Division. The sleeping giant has been awakened, and the rest of the BCFFL should take note.

Steven Jackson leads The Megatons into action against the Houston Fuzz in Week 7. Without top pick, Matt Schaub, in the line-up, the Fuzz are especially vulnerable this weekend.

Drew Brees is the chief signal-caller and point producer for The Megatons. Joining him this weekend are Miles Austin (Monday night) and Matt Ryan. And if caught the week that Dwayne Bowe had 6 days ago, you know this team is ready to start thinking about the playoffs!

JOE FLACCO
Bills allow 20 points per QB this season

Joe Flacco proved to be a suitable back-up in Week 6 when Carson Palmer was out. He'll have to do it again in Week 7 with Matt Schaub on the bye week. Palmer is back as the Bengals face the Falcons.

Ryan Mathews is at home against New England and John Kuhn looks to make an impact with Green Bay tomorrow night.

Marques Colston, Roy E. Williams, and Jason Witten hope to make a dent in the scoreboard with major production this week as the Fuzz battle The Megatons and look to improve to 3-4.

Good luck to all this weekend and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GIANTS! By the time games kick-off on Sunday we'll be game-planning for Texas. I believe I had Giants in 5 going into this series. I'll take Giants in 6.

Week 6 Report

PREDATORS REGAIN DIVISION LEAD!
170-110 VICTORY OVER THE SPOILER

PEYTON MANNING
33-points

Peyton Manning led the Predators to 170-110 victory with 33-points on 307 passing yards and 2 TDs of 57- and 5-yards on Sunday night in Washington. The Predators scored more points than any other team in the league in Week 6 earning their third $10 prize.

The Predators enjoyed a tremendous day rushing the ball with a total 303 yards and 4 TDs. Ryan Torain  had a 100-yard rushing performance with 2 TDs. Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for 133 yards. Arian Foster also had 2 TDs on 71 yards.

Andre Johnson was the leading receiver with 23-points on 138 receiving yards and a TD. The Bears DST came up with with 16-points on 3 PA and an 89-yard DTD.

AARON RODGERS
34-points

The last of the unbeaten teams went down in Week 6 as The Spoiler lost by 60-points to the Predators. Aaron Rodgers came through once again with 313 yards passing, an 86-yard TD, and a rushing TD, for 34-points.

One of the biggest problems was the 3 players who came up with 0-points combined: Hakeem Nicks, Mike Nugent, and the Falcons DST. Dallas Clark and Dustin Keller were unusually poor with a combined 12-points.

Newcomer LaDainian Tomlinson shined brightly with 22-points on 2 TDs (20, 2) and Rashard Mendenhall continued his strong start this season with 17-points on 74 rushing yards and a 2-yard TD.

A big miss for The Spoiler in Week 6 was the 45-point outburst of Jeremy Maclin. Otherwise, The Spoiler simply was unprepared to deal with the explosion of production from the Predators, who have now taken over top spot in the Original Division at the midway point of the season at 5-1.

COUGARS MAINTAIN EXTRA CRISPY LEAD!
122-100 VICTORY OVER THE FUZZ

CALVIN JOHNSON
34-points

Calvin Johnson secured first place for the Cougars in the Extra Crispy Division with a 34-point performance in Week 6 on 146 receiving yards and an 87-yard TD on the way to a 122-100 win over division rival, the Houston Fuzz.

The NYQBs combined for 31-points as Manning (20) passed for 2 TDs and 177 yards, and Sanchez (11) threw for 198 yards and a TD pass.

Frank Gore (14) and Adrian Peterson (15) rushed for 238 yards combined and 1 TD.

The other leading receiver was Percy Harvin (19) who returned a kick in Dallas 95-yards for a TD.

MATT SCHAUB
27-points

The Fuzz had a chance to land in the top spot in their division with a win. QBs Schaub (27) and Joe Flacco (26) did their part with 53-points combined on 590 passing yards and 4 TDs (5, 11, 16, 25).

Braylon Edwards came through with 14-points on 46 receiving yards and a TD in Denver.

The power failure occurred largely in the running game as Marion Barber, John Kuhn, and Ryan Mathews combined for 15 yards and 0 TDs.

So for now, the Cougars have padded their lead by 1-game over The Megatons, 4-2 to 3-3.

BACKDOOR BANDITS RALLY TO VICTORY!
132-123 WIN OVER THE DELTA MARAUDERS IN WEEK 6

MATT CASSEL
28-points

Matt Cassel led the Backdoor Bandits to a 9-point win over the Delta Marauders in the only inter-division game of Week 6 in the BCFFL. The Original Division now leads the Extra Crispy Division, 9-5, in inter-division games. Cassel passed for 201 yards and threw 3 TDs as the Chiefs lost to the Texans.

Donovan McNabb passed for 246 yards and a TD (14). Chris Johnson rushed for over 100 yards on Monday night and contributed 21-points in the comeback victory for the Bandits.

DeSean Jackson was good for 25-points before getting banged up in Week 6. Tony Gonzalez also had a big day in Philly with 21-points on 2 TDs.

BEN ROETHLISBERGER
28-points

The Delta Marauders also had their 28-point QB in Week 6: "Big" Ben Roethlisberger. Ben and Brady combined for 44-points in the DMs loss to the Bandits, but Roethlisberger is officially back. The Steelers QB passed for 257 yards and 3 TDs (29, 8, 14) in a win over Cleveland.

Mike Wallace had 90 yards and a TD (29) for 19-points. Vernon Davis caught a TD and chipped in with 13-points. The DMs got little from Michael Bush (5), Louis Murphy (4), Roddy White (8), and the 49ers DST (8).

The Bandits are now just outside the division lead at 3-3; two games behind the Predators and The Spoiler. The DMs are one of three teams at 2-4 in the Extra Crispy Division behind the Cougars (4-2) and The Megatons (3-3).

GATORS SWEEP GAUCHOS!
129-118 VICTORY COMPLETES 2-GAME SWEEP FOR THE GATORS

GREG JENNINGS
33-points

Greg Jennings had 133-yards receiving and an 86-yard TD catch to lead the Allie-Gators to a 129-118 victory and season sweep over the Gauchos. The Gators overtook the Gauchos in the standings and have improved 2-4.

Alex Smith had another decent outing with 21-points on 196 passing yards and 2 TDs for the Niners in victory over Oakland. The Steelers DST had 10 PA, 2 Int, DFR, and 6 sacks for 13-points. And Saints RB Chris Ivory rushed for 158 yards for 16-points.

KEVIN KOLB
38-points

The Gauchos picked up a huge lift with a trade the day before Week 6 with The Spoiler that brought QB Kevin Kolb on board. Kolb had a big day at home for Philly with 38-points on 326 passing yards and 3 TDs (34, 8, 83). Unfortunately, the other QB for the Gauchos, Vince Young, went down in the first half with a knee injury on Monday night, costing the Gauchos a shot at victory. Had either Matt Hasselbeck (18) or Chad Henne (21) started, the Gauchos could have been enjoying a 3-3 record heading into Week 7.

Anquan Boldin (16) and Ausin Collie (15) had good days receiving with 2 TDs between them. Randy Moss fizzled with 55 yards in Dallas. Jamaal Charles and Ray Rice combined for 181 rushing yards with 0 TDs which also hurt the Gauchos in Week 6.

THE MEGATONS def PARKING THUGS
151-84 DESTRUCTION BY THE MIGHTY MEGATONS

DWAYNE BOWE
30-points

Dwayne Bowe led The Megatons to a 151-84 win over the Parking Thugs on 108 receiving yards and 2 TDs. Drew Brees came through with 263 passing yards and 3 TDs (41, 42, 4) over Tampa Bay for 29-points. Matt Ryan had a strong performance in Philly with 250 passing yards and 2 TDs (1, 13).

Brandon Jacobs had solid day with 35 rushing yards and 2 TDs in New York for 19-points. Kicker Rob Bironas starred on Monday night in Jacksonville with 12-points on 3 FGs (26, 33, 36).

It appears that The Megatons have reached .500 (3-3) and may never look back!

TONY ROMO
29-points

You just never know what Parking Thugs team will show up. Not the 172-point $10 winner in Week 5 this go around. The Megatons made short work of the Thugs as Tono Romo was just about the only player worth salt in this demolition.

Romo passed for 220 yards and 3 TDs (15, 2, 31) for 29-points. The only player besides Romo to reach double-figures was Brett Favre (11) on 118 passing yards and a TD.

Otherwise, it was a pretty dismal week up and down the Thugs line-up. Thomas Jones (bench) had a 100-yard rushing performance and a TD for 19-points. Todd Heap caught a TD pass and racked up 14 bench points.

Congratulations to all who enjoyed successful outings in Week 6 and best of luck entering Week 7!

WEEK 6 PREVIEW

We have our first HUGE GAME of the WEEK as The Spoiler (5-0) and Predators (4-1), the league's two best teams early in the season, square off for top spot in the Original Division. We have only one inter-division match-up as the Delta Marauders battle the Backdoor Bandits.

I am going with a much different approach to this week's preview which is to highlight players that most likely are going to be riding the bench this week. That's right, you and I have them on our team. They are space-fillers, mainly. Longshots at best. So let's get to all the action in Week 6 and see who will and who won't be facing each other.

GAME of the WEEK

THE SPOILER
(5-0, Original Division)
vs
PREDATORS
(4-1, Original Division)

EDDIE ROYAL
113 receiving yards, 1 TD (Week 4 @ Titans)

Eddie Royal appears to be out of the cards this weekend in The Spoiler's line-up. The Broncos receiver has tasted some success this weekend. The Spoiler will be playing their latest hot hand, Brandon Lloyd (33-points in Week 5) and, naturally, Hakeem Nicks. Kyle Orton (Royal's counterpart in Denver) and Aaron Rodgers will look to contribute the lion's share of scoring as The Spoiler hope to extend their winning streak to six games. Newly-acquired LaDainian Tomlinson may make an appearance in the line-up, though Rashard Mendenhall and Shonn Greene (already a N.Y. Jet running the ball) are slated to handle the duties. And this team, famous for its two tight ends, will feature the play of Dallas Clark and Dustin Keller in Week 6.

MIKE TOLBERT
11 yards & 1 TD (Week 6 @ Raiders)

The Predators took a fall in Week 5, but they have an opportunity to make a big statement in Week 6 and a shot at quickly reclaiming top spot in the Original Division as they battle the 5-0 Spoiler. Mike Tolbert auditioned for a spot in the line-up with a TD in Oakland last weekend, but odds are that Arian Foster, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Ryan Torain handle the duties.

This is week two for the Rivers/Manning combination at QB. Rivers travels to St. Louis while Manning takes on the Skins Sunday night. After failing to throw a TD pass in Week 5 at home, perhaps Peyton is due to go off against Washington. The Predators are counting on it!

So good luck to both the Predators and The Spoiler as they battle it out in our GAME of the WEEK.

DELTA MARAUDERS
(2-3, Extra Crispy Division)
vs
BACKDOOR BANDITS
(2-3, Original Division)

BRANDON TATE
2 kick returns for TDs this season

After defeating the division-leading Cougars in Week 5, the Delta Marauders enter an inter-division battle with the Backdoor Bandits. Brandon Tate has a couple of special teams plays to showcase his efforts this season, but Vernon Davis, Roddy White, and Mike Wallace have the receiving duties locked in. Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger (Big Ben is back!) lead the way at QB. This is the week the DMs have been waiting for with Roethlisberger back in the line-up. Remember, the season is a marathon and not a sprint. The DMs patience may pay off big time. It just depends on which Bandits team shows up in Week 6.

MICHAEL CRABTREE
105 receiving yards, 1 TD (Week 5 vs Eagles)

Much like Michael Crabtree, you never know what you're going to get from teh Bandits. They can either drop 200 on you and take the $10 prize or go for 80-something points and stink up the joint, (though their joints are never stinky).

The Bandits enjoy the services of top overall pick, CJ28 in Tennesee. Matt Cassel and Donovan McNabb run the show at QB. Malcolm Floyd is coming off a huge game in Oakland with more than 200 receiving yards. He'll be in the STL this Sunday. And Michael Turner hopes to find a few seams to break through as Atlanta travels to Philadelphia.

THE MEGATONS
(2-3, Extra Crispy Division)
vs
PARKING THUGS
(2-3, Extra Crispy Division)

KELLEN WINSLOW
75 receiving yards (Week 5 @ Browns)

Kellen Winslow. There's a blast from the past. He had a decent game against his former team, Cleveland, with 75 receiving yards last weekend. Brent Celek, meanwhile, si the team's starting WR, and Kevin Kolb loves throwing to him, so expect more Celek and less Winslow in Week 6.

The Megatons stopped their 3-game skid with a win over the Gauchos in Week 5 and hope to continue their success with a win over last week's $10 team, the Parking Thugs. Drew Brees travels to Tampa Bay and Matt Ryan is in Philly. Both QBs have roadies this weekend.

Steven Jackson and Brandon Jacobs have rock-carrying duties this weekend in home games against San Diego and the N.Y. Giants. And the star of the team, Miles Austin, is at home against Minnesota.

BERNARD BERRIAN
2010 to date: 38 receiving yards; 3-points

Bernard Berrian is now handling carrying Randy Moss' jockstrap in Minnesota. Doubt you'll find him in the line-up for the Parking Thugs. But then, finding points has not been an issue as of late. They won the $10 prize with 175-points on Week 5. That's a week after Tony Romo was the lone QB while on the bye week. Let's just give them the mulligan and expect good things from here on out for the Thugs.

One Viking that will be in the line-up on Sunday is QB Brett Favre. His 29-point game in Week 5 should be a sign of good things to come, especially with Randy Moss to throw to. Jahvid Best is another new face on the Thugs this season and he's playing in the New Meadowlands this Sunday against the Giants. We'll see how he does in the Big Apple for the first time.

Steve Smith and LeSean McCoy also hope to step up big time for the Thugs who have their hands full with The Megaons in Week 6. Both teams look to reach .500 with a win.

COUGARS
(3-2, Extra Crispy Division)
vs
HOUSTON FUZZ
(2-3, Extra Crispy Division)

T.J. HOUSHMANDZADEH
49 receiving yards, 1 TD (Week 4 @ Steelers)

The Cougars face their first real challenge for top spot in the Extra Crispy Division this week as they put their 3-2 record on the line against the 2-3 Houston Fuzz. The Cougs probably have little in terms of expectations for TJ at WR, though he did break loose in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago.

This week the NYQBs are facing Detroit at home (Eli) and Denver on the road (Sanchez). Gore is in the Battle of the Bay and Peterson travels to Dallas. And Antonio Gates looks to continue his successful season in St. Louis.

MARIO MANNINGHAM
75 receiving yards, 1 TD (Week 2 @ Colts)

The Fuzz are coming off a rough 50-something point week in a huge loss to the Thugs. But, they can make that all disappear this week when they get a crack at first place in the Extra Crispy Division over the Cougars. Mario Manningham appears to be on the bench, though he's been good at times. Points seem to be hard to come by, but the Fuzz turn to top pick, Matt Schaub (home against KC) and Ravens QB Joe Flacco (@ New England) to get them on the board quickly.

A win in Week 6 could send shockwaves throughout the league, though for now, the Fuzz appear to be the underdogs on paper. Best of luck to both teams!

ALLIE-GATORS
(1-4, Original Division)
vs
GAUCHOS
(2-3, Original Division)

SENECA WALLACE
High ankle sprain; McCoy will start in Week 6.

Good news, bad news: The Allie-Gators won the first match-up between these two teams in Week 1: 153-108. That was the last time the AGs won a game this season, however. Don't count on Seneca Wallace factoring into the outcome of this game. It's unlikely he'll be playing for Cleveland this weekend as he's nursing a high ankle sprain on the heels of last weekend's game in Cincinnati.

Jay Cutler and Alex Smith remain locked in at QB. Smith is coming off a big game (300 yards + 3 TDs) last weekend. Cutler's been struggling lately. MJD and the Big Three (Jennings, Wayne & Welker) remain the point producers for the Gators as they hope to sweep the season series over the Gauchos.

BO SCAIFE
12 receiving yards (Week 5 @ Cowboys)

Bo Scaife belongs on a separate bench away from the bench players after the eggs he's been laying lately. There is no depth chart deep enough to show how low Scaife is on actually making it into a starting line-up for the Gauchos. Yet, there he is. His teammate Vince Young gets Monday night duties in Jacksonville.

Newly-acquired Kevin Kolb hopes to remain in place as Eagles QB with a home date against Atlanta. Jamaal Charles and Ray Rice, and the Gauchos own Big Three WRs (Boldin, Collie, and Moss) look to equalize the Gators in Week 6 and avoid falling into a tie for last place in the Original Division. A win for the Gauchos and they're looking at .500 once again.

Good luck to everyone in Week 6!
