Week 6 Report

PREDATORS REGAIN DIVISION LEAD!
170-110 VICTORY OVER THE SPOILER

PEYTON MANNING
33-points

Peyton Manning led the Predators to 170-110 victory with 33-points on 307 passing yards and 2 TDs of 57- and 5-yards on Sunday night in Washington. The Predators scored more points than any other team in the league in Week 6 earning their third $10 prize.

The Predators enjoyed a tremendous day rushing the ball with a total 303 yards and 4 TDs. Ryan Torain  had a 100-yard rushing performance with 2 TDs. Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for 133 yards. Arian Foster also had 2 TDs on 71 yards.

Andre Johnson was the leading receiver with 23-points on 138 receiving yards and a TD. The Bears DST came up with with 16-points on 3 PA and an 89-yard DTD.

AARON RODGERS
34-points

The last of the unbeaten teams went down in Week 6 as The Spoiler lost by 60-points to the Predators. Aaron Rodgers came through once again with 313 yards passing, an 86-yard TD, and a rushing TD, for 34-points.

One of the biggest problems was the 3 players who came up with 0-points combined: Hakeem Nicks, Mike Nugent, and the Falcons DST. Dallas Clark and Dustin Keller were unusually poor with a combined 12-points.

Newcomer LaDainian Tomlinson shined brightly with 22-points on 2 TDs (20, 2) and Rashard Mendenhall continued his strong start this season with 17-points on 74 rushing yards and a 2-yard TD.

A big miss for The Spoiler in Week 6 was the 45-point outburst of Jeremy Maclin. Otherwise, The Spoiler simply was unprepared to deal with the explosion of production from the Predators, who have now taken over top spot in the Original Division at the midway point of the season at 5-1.

COUGARS MAINTAIN EXTRA CRISPY LEAD!
122-100 VICTORY OVER THE FUZZ

CALVIN JOHNSON
34-points

Calvin Johnson secured first place for the Cougars in the Extra Crispy Division with a 34-point performance in Week 6 on 146 receiving yards and an 87-yard TD on the way to a 122-100 win over division rival, the Houston Fuzz.

The NYQBs combined for 31-points as Manning (20) passed for 2 TDs and 177 yards, and Sanchez (11) threw for 198 yards and a TD pass.

Frank Gore (14) and Adrian Peterson (15) rushed for 238 yards combined and 1 TD.

The other leading receiver was Percy Harvin (19) who returned a kick in Dallas 95-yards for a TD.

MATT SCHAUB
27-points

The Fuzz had a chance to land in the top spot in their division with a win. QBs Schaub (27) and Joe Flacco (26) did their part with 53-points combined on 590 passing yards and 4 TDs (5, 11, 16, 25).

Braylon Edwards came through with 14-points on 46 receiving yards and a TD in Denver.

The power failure occurred largely in the running game as Marion Barber, John Kuhn, and Ryan Mathews combined for 15 yards and 0 TDs.

So for now, the Cougars have padded their lead by 1-game over The Megatons, 4-2 to 3-3.

BACKDOOR BANDITS RALLY TO VICTORY!
132-123 WIN OVER THE DELTA MARAUDERS IN WEEK 6

MATT CASSEL
28-points

Matt Cassel led the Backdoor Bandits to a 9-point win over the Delta Marauders in the only inter-division game of Week 6 in the BCFFL. The Original Division now leads the Extra Crispy Division, 9-5, in inter-division games. Cassel passed for 201 yards and threw 3 TDs as the Chiefs lost to the Texans.

Donovan McNabb passed for 246 yards and a TD (14). Chris Johnson rushed for over 100 yards on Monday night and contributed 21-points in the comeback victory for the Bandits.

DeSean Jackson was good for 25-points before getting banged up in Week 6. Tony Gonzalez also had a big day in Philly with 21-points on 2 TDs.

BEN ROETHLISBERGER
28-points

The Delta Marauders also had their 28-point QB in Week 6: "Big" Ben Roethlisberger. Ben and Brady combined for 44-points in the DMs loss to the Bandits, but Roethlisberger is officially back. The Steelers QB passed for 257 yards and 3 TDs (29, 8, 14) in a win over Cleveland.

Mike Wallace had 90 yards and a TD (29) for 19-points. Vernon Davis caught a TD and chipped in with 13-points. The DMs got little from Michael Bush (5), Louis Murphy (4), Roddy White (8), and the 49ers DST (8).

The Bandits are now just outside the division lead at 3-3; two games behind the Predators and The Spoiler. The DMs are one of three teams at 2-4 in the Extra Crispy Division behind the Cougars (4-2) and The Megatons (3-3).

GATORS SWEEP GAUCHOS!
129-118 VICTORY COMPLETES 2-GAME SWEEP FOR THE GATORS

GREG JENNINGS
33-points

Greg Jennings had 133-yards receiving and an 86-yard TD catch to lead the Allie-Gators to a 129-118 victory and season sweep over the Gauchos. The Gators overtook the Gauchos in the standings and have improved 2-4.

Alex Smith had another decent outing with 21-points on 196 passing yards and 2 TDs for the Niners in victory over Oakland. The Steelers DST had 10 PA, 2 Int, DFR, and 6 sacks for 13-points. And Saints RB Chris Ivory rushed for 158 yards for 16-points.

KEVIN KOLB
38-points

The Gauchos picked up a huge lift with a trade the day before Week 6 with The Spoiler that brought QB Kevin Kolb on board. Kolb had a big day at home for Philly with 38-points on 326 passing yards and 3 TDs (34, 8, 83). Unfortunately, the other QB for the Gauchos, Vince Young, went down in the first half with a knee injury on Monday night, costing the Gauchos a shot at victory. Had either Matt Hasselbeck (18) or Chad Henne (21) started, the Gauchos could have been enjoying a 3-3 record heading into Week 7.

Anquan Boldin (16) and Ausin Collie (15) had good days receiving with 2 TDs between them. Randy Moss fizzled with 55 yards in Dallas. Jamaal Charles and Ray Rice combined for 181 rushing yards with 0 TDs which also hurt the Gauchos in Week 6.

THE MEGATONS def PARKING THUGS
151-84 DESTRUCTION BY THE MIGHTY MEGATONS

DWAYNE BOWE
30-points

Dwayne Bowe led The Megatons to a 151-84 win over the Parking Thugs on 108 receiving yards and 2 TDs. Drew Brees came through with 263 passing yards and 3 TDs (41, 42, 4) over Tampa Bay for 29-points. Matt Ryan had a strong performance in Philly with 250 passing yards and 2 TDs (1, 13).

Brandon Jacobs had solid day with 35 rushing yards and 2 TDs in New York for 19-points. Kicker Rob Bironas starred on Monday night in Jacksonville with 12-points on 3 FGs (26, 33, 36).

It appears that The Megatons have reached .500 (3-3) and may never look back!

TONY ROMO
29-points

You just never know what Parking Thugs team will show up. Not the 172-point $10 winner in Week 5 this go around. The Megatons made short work of the Thugs as Tono Romo was just about the only player worth salt in this demolition.

Romo passed for 220 yards and 3 TDs (15, 2, 31) for 29-points. The only player besides Romo to reach double-figures was Brett Favre (11) on 118 passing yards and a TD.

Otherwise, it was a pretty dismal week up and down the Thugs line-up. Thomas Jones (bench) had a 100-yard rushing performance and a TD for 19-points. Todd Heap caught a TD pass and racked up 14 bench points.

Congratulations to all who enjoyed successful outings in Week 6 and best of luck entering Week 7!
-Alex
