NEW YORK JETS
Backdoor Bandits

We have plenty of interesting head-to-head battles including the Raiders RBs, Michael Bush vs Darren McFadden. We have the pass/catch combinations of the Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger to Mike Wallace (50-points combined last night) on the Delta Marauders; the Eagles' Michael Vick to DeSean Jackson and the Redskins' Rex Grossman to Santana Moss on the Backdoor Bandits.

The DST head-to-head features hated AFC East rivals, New England and the N.Y. Jets.  We also have a number of Atlanta Falcons in the game, including the DMs Roddy White, and the Bandits' Michael Turner and Tony Gonzalez.

This is also a battle between two teams with two strikingly different drafting philosophies. The BCFFL is rather unusual in how top heavy we draft QBs and no team sets that pace better than the Delta Marauders. They took Tom Brady and a suspended Ben Roethlisberger with their #1-2 picks in this year's draft.

Meanwhile, the Bandits went the more traditional route of drafting running backs with his top picks in Chris Johnson - the #1 overall pick - and Michael Turner.

So we will see this year, in our championship game, which drafting strategy proved to be the most effective.

We also have a team whose two starting QBs - Matt Cassel and Donovan McNabb - will be on the bench for one reason or another, while Michael Vick, arguably the league's MVP for the Eagles, went undrafted at QB. How did Rex Grossman get drafted and this guy didn't?

So, the plots are thick. It will be very exciting. Good luck to both the Delta Marauders and Backdoor Bandits this weeekend, and most importantly, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

~Alex
